Free Initial Consultation

 

Contact me for your free initial consultation (around 45 mins) during which we will talk about what you wish to gain or achieve from your training. We will discuss your current level of physical activity and any possible barriers you may find in your life that stop you from carrying out exercise and ways in which to over come them.

 

We will discuss the type of training you would like to carryout, your approach to training ( muscular strength, endurance, improved CV or just toning your body and slimming your shape).

We will also discuss nutrition its role in your training and touch upon your current diet.

Initial Assesment and Planning

 

Once you have decided to start on training we will complete an assesment of your current fitness. This will help to high light any areas of your health and fitness that when improved, will help you to reach your training goals.

 

I will also complete, with your consent a body profile of you (all results are private and will only be seen by you or myself). We will take measurements of your height, weight, hip to waist ratio and body fat composition.

 

These measurments and fitness tests will help to show your starting body condition. They help to direct your training, but also will allow you to see the difference and changes that will occur to your body through the training proccess. These measurement and the results will be one of the ways you can measure your progress. 

 

Methods of completing body profile :-

 

Hip to Waist Ratio - Measurements of hip and waist circumference are taken and the ratio between them calculated

 

Body Fat Composition - This is calculated by taking skin fold measurements from four points on the body, these points are the tricep (Back of upper arm), the bicep (front of upper arm), sub scapular (below the shoulder blade) and just above the hip bone.
